UCLA, USC climb in AP Top 25 as playoff hopes and title odds improve

Los Angeles football programs are surging in the latest AP Top 25 rankings following a chaotic week of college football. UCLA reached the fifth spot with an unblemished 8-0 record, while USC re-entered the poll at number 18 after moving to 7-2.

Both schools saw their national title prospects improve at BetOnline, with the Trojans experiencing a significant shift from 150/1 to 50/1 and the Bruins moving from 75/1 to 55/1. USC now faces a critical stretch against Indiana and UCLA that will determine their playoff viability.

Elsewhere, Ohio State dropped to 11th after a loss, and individual award races shifted as Darian Mensah took the lead in Heisman betting odds.
