Lamar Jackson ruled out of Bills-Ravens game with thumb injury sustained on Baltimore's first offensive play

Baltimore signal-caller Lamar Jackson made his long-awaited return to the field during Sunday's matchup after missing three straight contests due to an ankle problem. However, his comeback lasted only a single offensive snap against Buffalo before he sustained a thumb injury on his throwing hand and was quickly escorted to the locker room.

Medical staff subsequently ruled the star quarterback out for the remainder of the Week 8 contest.
