Following a stunning 33-30 overtime defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has dismissed the possibility of replacing Brian Schottenheimer during the current campaign. Despite holding a 14-point advantage in the final quarter, the Cowboys suffered their first loss in franchise history after leading by such a margin at home.
This result leaves Dallas with a 3-5 record and extends their defensive struggles, as they have now allowed at least 20 points in 15 consecutive contests. Jones emphasized that the entire organization shares responsibility for the collapse rather than singling out any individual coach.
Historically, the owner has only dismissed a head coach mid-season once during his 38-year tenure.
