NWSL Decision Day scores, playoff bracket, takeaways: Gotham FC cement their dynasty, Seattle Reign survive

The 2026 NWSL season concluded with a dramatic **Decision Day**, where Gotham FC clinched the NWSL Shield after a dominant regular season, finishing atop the league standings. The team’s victory was sealed with a 2-0 win over Utah Royals, while San Diego Wave secured second place and Seattle Reign earned the final playoff berth with a narrow 1-0 triumph over Orlando Pride.

The day also determined home-field advantages, with Washington Spirit and Kansas City Current both locking down hosting rights after decisive wins—Spirit edged Chicago Stars 2-0, and Current defeated Racing Louisville 2-0. The playoff bracket is now set, with Gotham and San Diego guaranteed home semifinal games if they advance past the quarterfinals, which begin November 6.
