Bianchi: FSU fires Mike Norvell, but downfall began when playoff committee robbed him of his mojo

Florida State has officially dismissed head coach Mike Norvell following a 36-24 loss to Clemson. This decision concludes his tenure with a final record of 41-39, marked by a significant decline after the team was excluded from the College Football Playoff despite an undefeated 13-0 record in 2023.

Since that snub, the program has struggled to a 10-23 record, including a 63-3 defeat to Georgia in the Orange Bowl. The departure follows a period where the team saw numerous roster departures and a notable drop in performance levels.
