After firing Mike Norvell, here comes the hard part for Florida State: Finding a coach who wants the job

Florida State has officially parted ways with Mike Norvell following a 36-24 home defeat against Clemson. This decision concludes a tenure marked by a difficult stretch where the program dropped 21 of its previous 26 contests against power conference opponents.

The university now faces a challenging search for a successor, as the program's reputation and financial standing have shifted significantly since its last coaching transition. Industry insiders suggest that limited resources for roster investment have hindered the school's ability to compete with other major programs in the current landscape.
