Following Abhishek Sharma's explosive 113-run performance in Wellington, mentor Yuvraj Singh playfully teased his protege for failing to eclipse his long-standing record of a 12-ball T20I half-century. Despite Sharma reaching his fifty in 15 deliveries and securing his fourth international century, Yuvraj joked about the youngster's inability to break the benchmark he set during the 2007 World Cup.
India successfully chased down the 199-run target, aided by a record-breaking powerplay and a rapid team century, to claim a 3-0 series lead. Sharma's innings, which featured 11 sixes and 9 fours, ended when he was dismissed by Kyle Jamieson, while his partner Vaibhav Sooryavanshi added 45 runs to the total.
