Hojlund pen condemns Wales to third Nations League defeat in four

Rasmus Hojlund secured a victory for Denmark over Craig Bellamy's squad by converting a penalty kick in the seventy-fifth minute following an infraction by goalkeeper Danny Ward. The decisive moment occurred when Ward misplayed a ball near his own goal and subsequently fouled Gustav Isaksen inside the area, resulting in a successful spot-kick that sealed a sweep for the visitors after their previous win in Copenhagen.

Despite entering the match following a recent success against Norway and adjusting his lineup with Brennan Johnson replacing Daniel James, the manager's group struggled to generate significant offensive pressure throughout the fixture. The contest featured several missed opportunities from both sides, including efforts by Ethan Ampadu and Johnson, alongside defensive miscues and an eventual booking for Ben Cabango that will sideline him for an upcoming match against Norway.
