West Ham sack head coach Nuno Espirito Santo

West Ham United have dismissed Nuno Espirito Santo following an underwhelming beginning to their Championship campaign. The fifty-two-year-old manager arrived in September two thousand twenty-five and presided over the club's drop from the top flight last term.

Despite entering the division as promotion favorites, the London outfit sits eighth overall and trails the table toppers by six points. Recent struggles include two victories from six outings and consecutive home losses to Southampton and West Bromwich Albion.

Alongside the departing boss, members of the backroom staff including Rui Pedro Silva and Rui Barbosa have exited the organization. Interim duties for the upcoming fixture against Cardiff City will be handled by Mark Noble, Steve Potts, and Gerard Prenderville while club directors begin the search for a permanent successor.
