Calvert-Lewin becoming the complete striker

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is contending for an England squad return after reaching three Premier League goals this season, placing him second in the league tally behind Erling Haaland following an accreditation panel ruling. The striker delivered an influential performance during Leeds' 4-1 triumph over Newcastle on Monday, nodding in a James Justin delivery before latching onto Tarik Muharemovic's pass to score.

That double took his total to nine goals across 15 matches in all competitions since April.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke lauded his forward as being in peak physical condition and ranked him among the premier division's elite attackers. Calvert-Lewin had initially seen his first goal against Newcastle attributed to colleague Jayden Bogle before the decision was altered.

His current league haul with Leeds already equals his output from his previous four campaigns combined at Everton, with pundit Jamie Carragher noting that the change of scenery and newfound composure have helped resolve his past finishing struggles.
