Calvert-Lewin becomes the complete striker to earn England recall

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has earned an England national team selection following an impressive run of form with Leeds United. After an appeals panel awarded him an initial strike initially credited to Jayden Bogle, the forward reached three top-flight goals this campaign, trailing only Erling Haaland in the scoring charts.

He showcased his versatility during Monday's 4-1 triumph over Newcastle United, nodding in a cross delivered by James Justin before converting a through ball supplied by Tarik Muharemovic. Leeds manager Daniel Farke praised the attacker's physical condition and confidence, hailing him as a premier center-forward in the competition.

Across all fixtures dating back to April, Calvert-Lewin has tallied nine goals across 15 matches. His scoring output for Leeds already matches the total he achieved during his previous four seasons at Everton, where his career was often hindered by missed opportunities.

With analytical data demonstrating that his finishing efficiency has finally caught up to his expected goals metrics, television analyst Jamie Carragher observed that the transfer has successfully revitalized the striker.
