Calvert-Lewin and Leeds bully Newcastle in dominant victory

Leeds United stayed undefeated in the Premier League by dismantling Newcastle United in a comprehensive 4-1 triumph. Both clubs entered the contest tied on five points from their initial three fixtures, yet Matthias Jaissle endured his first loss at the Magpies' helm as his squad missed the injured Anthony Elanga, who faces an upcoming MRI to evaluate a potential long-term absence.

Following an early penalty appeal against Newcastle's full-debutant Matias Fernandez-Pardo in the third minute, Leeds seized control. Ao Tanaka's attempt took multiple deflections, culminating in a diversion off Lewis Miley to deceive goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek for the opening goal.

The hosts quickly expanded their cushion through an overwhelming attacking display driven by Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Three minutes after the opener, the forward powered a header toward the net that was ultimately credited to teammate Jayden Bogle via a final deflection, before Calvert-Lewin personally secured Leeds' third by driving into the box and finishing calmly prior to the interval.

Noah Okafor capped off the rout in the second half, striking a superb bouncing volley with his weaker foot into the bottom corner to preserve the home side's surging form.
