6 Potential Mike Norvell Replacements for Florida State: Rhett Lashlee, Charles Huff, Manny Diaz Among Options

Florida State has parted ways with Mike Norvell following a 3-5 start to the 2026 season, concluding his seven-year tenure with a 41-39 overall record. While he led the team to an ACC title and a 13-0 record in 2023, the program failed to reach a bowl game in the subsequent two years.

Rick Stockstill will serve as the interim head coach during the search for a permanent successor. Potential candidates identified for the role include SMU head coach Rhett Lashlee, who has seen success in the ACC, and Memphis head coach Charles Huff, known for his ability to turn around struggling programs.
