What new Kane deal means for England and the Premier League record

Harry Kane has committed his future to Bayern Munich through 2029, effectively ending speculation regarding a potential return to the Premier League. Since his 86 million pound transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023, the forward has netted 102 goals in 102 league appearances, secured two league titles, and earned three consecutive Golden Boot awards.

This extension keeps the England captain in Germany until shortly before his 36th birthday. Consequently, Alan Shearer's record of 260 Premier League goals appears secure, as Kane remains 47 strikes behind that milestone.

Former player Chris Sutton noted that despite his age, the striker maintains the physical strength and elite football intelligence required to continue performing at the highest level for both club and country.
