Peter Broome, former Acushnet exec and Canadian Golf Hall of Fame inductee, dies at 66

The golf industry is mourning the loss of Peter Broome, a former senior executive at Acushnet who passed away at 66 following a battle with ALS. Throughout a career spanning nearly 30 years with Titleist and FootJoy, Broome became a highly respected figure who maintained strong ties to his Canadian roots while managing major international partnerships.

Recently, he was honored with induction into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and named an honorary member of the PGA of America. Following his diagnosis in 2024, he worked alongside loved ones to launch the ALS Bridge Foundation, which has already contributed $1 million to clinical research at Massachusetts General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, and his family.
