MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi spearheaded tributes from across the Italian sporting landscape after Mercedes star Andrea Kimi Antonelli secured his maiden Formula 1 world championship. The twenty-year-old clinched the title by finishing third at the Mexico City Grand Prix, becoming the youngest champion in the sport's history and the first Italian to claim the crown since Alberto Ascari in 1953.
Rossi, alongside fellow racing figures Marco Bezzecchi, Franco Morbidelli, and Fabio Di Giannantonio, praised the young driver in celebratory video messages highlighting his rapid rise and his frequent training sessions at Rossi's ranch in Tavullia. Antonelli now prepares for the remaining rounds of the campaign, which include upcoming events in Brazil and a potential season finale at Imola depending on schedule updates in the Middle East.
