The Afghanistan Cricket Board has finalized the leadership groups and technical staff for all five participating franchises ahead of the inaugural Afghanistan Premier League tournament, which gets underway on December 27. High-profile appointments include Irfan Pathan, Mark Boucher, and Waqar Younis filling mentor roles alongside Tillakaratne Dilshan and Azhar Mahmood across the league's teams.

A recent leaders draft allowed head coaches to determine their team captains across two rounds, setting the stage for a players draft scheduled for November 3 in Dubai where full squads will be constructed.
