Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in contention to replace injured Ishan Kishan in second NZ T20I

Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the second T20I against New Zealand following a right adductor strain suffered during the series opener. The BCCI medical staff is currently evaluating his recovery timeline after the injury forced him to the sidelines.

Young talent Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is being considered as a potential replacement for the upcoming match. While team management has praised the consistency of the current opening duo, Shreyas Iyer indicated that the teenager could potentially slot into the lineup at the number three position.
