The week ahead: Two more tough games and the start of another west coast road trip for Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins are enduring a brutal stretch against top-tier competition, capped by a 4-3 overtime setback against the Utah Mammoth after blowing a late lead, followed by defensive struggles against the Montreal Canadiens. Defensive lapses have left netminders exposed, with Arturs Silovs putting together solid moments while young rookie Sergei Murashov struggles through a tough patch of starts.

Despite the team earning only a single point from their last two outings, center Ben Kindel provided a spark by netting two points in his return, while Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell delivered strong offensive performances. The squad now faces another grueling test at home against the Vegas Golden Knights before heading out on a fresh road trip.
