Utah football has added another high-profile recruit to its 2027 class, as five-star offensive tackle prospect Manase Brown flipped his commitment from Fresno State to the Utes. Brown, a 6-foot-7, 275-pound dual-sport athlete who plays both football and basketball, was originally pledged to the Bulldogs before reopening his decision last week.
He ultimately chose Utah over a final five that included BYU, USC, Michigan, and Arizona, citing the program’s momentum and culture as key factors in his decision. The commitment marks Utah’s fourth offensive line recruit in the 2027 class and the third from Corner Canyon High School, joining safety Diesel Dart and versatile athlete Jackson West.
Brown, rated the No. 8 prospect in Utah and the second-best recruit for the Utes next year, will work with first-year offensive line coach Jordan Gross, an NFL draft pick in 2003.
His versatility on the field—having also played tight end and defensive end—adds depth to Utah’s developing offensive line group.
