After recovering from a lingering ankle issue, twenty-two-year-old athlete Shaili Singh is putting her disputed fourth-place result at the Aichi-Nagoya Games behind her. She recently tested herself in a different discipline at the National Open Athletics Championships, securing a bronze medal in the triple jump with a distance of 13.31m.
Although the Athletics Federation of India has taken her long jump measurement protest to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, she regards the triple jump as merely a secondary pursuit. Her primary athletic ambition remains the long jump, where she continues to target the 6.80m milestone for upcoming events.
