Marlon Humphrey on Ja'Marr Chase: It would be cool if I didn't match up with him so much

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey acknowledged the difficulty of defending Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, noting that the two have met nine times previously, including eight regular-season contests and one playoff appearance. In those matchups, Chase has accumulated 77 receptions for 1,245 yards and eight touchdowns against the Ravens defense.

Humphrey described the task of covering Chase and teammate Tee Higgins as one of the toughest assignments in the league, emphasizing the need to limit explosive plays against top-tier talent. Ahead of the upcoming Sunday game between the 4-2 Ravens and the 3-2 Bengals, the cornerback expressed confidence that this will be the most significant test of his team's season thus far.
