'We don't need to save anyone's job,' says Man Utd captain Fernandes

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has dismissed claims that the team's recent 3-2 Champions League victory over Roma was intended to protect manager Michael Carrick's position. After trailing by two goals, the squad managed a second-half turnaround to snap a nine-game winless streak.

Fernandes addressed recent reports of internal friction following his public critique of tactical choices during a 4-1 defeat to Como, noting that his subsequent time on the bench was a justified coaching decision. He emphasized that the victory was a collective effort to improve the club's standing rather than a move to secure the manager's future.
