Gasperini analyzes loss to Man United: “It teaches us a lot.”

Gian Piero Gasperini reflected on a difficult Champions League defeat after his Roma side surrendered a lead to Manchester United. The match turned following a penalty converted by Bruno Fernandes and a late brace from Matheus Cunha, who secured the win for the visitors before receiving a red card in stoppage time.

Gasperini noted that his squad struggled to cope with the late pressure and intensity from the opposition. He dismissed concerns regarding his tactical substitutions, including the use of Lulli, and emphasized that the loss serves as a significant learning opportunity for his players regarding their psychological approach to high-stakes games.
