Ireland skipper Paul Stirling will sit out the final two matches of the ODI series against Namibia after suffering a finger fracture. The injury occurred while fielding during Tuesday's defeat, which leaves the visitors trailing 2-1 in the five-match contest.
Stirling had previously anchored the Irish batting lineup with scores of 56 and 77 in the opening two fixtures. Tim Tector has been drafted into the squad as a replacement for the injured captain.
The uncapped batter joins the group ahead of Friday's resumption of play, with the series finale scheduled for Sunday. Gary Wilson faces a difficult task as his side attempts to recover from consecutive losses of 31 and 63 runs.
