India turn focus to Asian Champions Trophy after Asian Games triumph

Fresh from successfully defending their continental title and securing an automatic spot at the upcoming Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the Indian men's hockey squad is redirecting its preparation toward the upcoming Asian Champions Trophy. Head coach Craig Fulton noted that the recent gold medal victory in Japan is already in the past, urging his players to maintain their usual hunger and discipline when the six-nation competition gets underway on home soil.

The upcoming schedule will bring international matches back to the state of Punjab, utilizing facilities in Jalandhar and Mohali between late October and early November. The opening round encounters are scheduled for the Olympian Surjit Singh Hockey Stadium, whereas the knockout fixtures and championship match will take place at the Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium.
