Important not to 'pigeonhole' Graham - O'Neill

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill has named Braiden Graham to the senior national team roster for their upcoming four-match run in the 2026 Nations League, marking the young attacker's second call-up. Graham previously joined the squad for June exhibition matches opposing Guinea and France, and he nearly made his senior debut against the French before time expired just as he was waiting to enter the pitch.

O'Neill stated that the teenager's dedication in summer training sessions had rightfully earned him an international cap.

Addressing the 5-foot-9 forward's long-term role, O'Neill cautioned against restricting him to a single position, noting that bodily maturation varies significantly from athlete to athlete. Having monitored the prospect since he was 14 or 15 years old, the manager acknowledged that modern Premier League sides often seek a different physical mold for central attackers.

Nevertheless, O'Neill praised Graham as an exceptionally clever, technically proficient finisher with a superb left foot.
