Hunting Explosives: Revisiting the Bears’ Big Plays from Week 1

The Chicago Bears kicked off their season with a commanding 59-37 triumph over the Carolina Panthers on September 13, 2026, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Caleb Williams directed an explosive attack engineered by Ben Johnson, highlighted by a second-quarter touchdown grab from tight end Cole Kmet and standout contributions from D'Andre Swift.

Rookie Colston Loveland went without a reception during the scoring spree.

Following the high-scoring debut that pushed Chicago up league-wide power rankings, the squad turns its focus to an upcoming matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The contest will pit Johnson's offense and Williams' dual-threat capabilities directly against defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
