Baptiste Veistroffer, the Lotto-Intermarché rider known for his fearless breakaway attacks, is shifting gears from road racing to a monumental charity ride. This season, Veistroffer covered nearly 3,000 kilometers in solo or small-group breakaways, including standout efforts on the Tour de France and the Tour of Guangxi, where he claimed the mountain classification jersey.
Beyond his competitive exploits, the 26-year-old French cyclist is also passionate about bikepacking, having completed over 2,500 kilometers through Thailand in 2023 and a 2,300-kilometer loop across California and Nevada last year. His latest adventure begins November 13, as he embarks on a 2,500-kilometer journey through Vietnam and Cambodia to raise funds for MolemBIKE, a Brussels-based nonprofit.
Veistroffer aims to secure €2 per kilometer, targeting €5,000 in total, with support from Ekoi and Belgian Lotto. Daily updates, including mileage, landscapes, and encounters, will be shared on his social media, inviting followers to track his progress and contribute to the cause.
