Dinesh Karthik has suggested that the Indian team management should rotate their lineup for the upcoming fifth T20I in Hamilton. He specifically recommended resting opener Abhishek Sharma to allow teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi an opportunity to return to the playing eleven.
Karthik noted that previous roster changes often unfairly targeted Sanju Samson, and he believes giving Sharma a break would be a more balanced approach to managing the squad. This follows a heavy 87-run loss to New Zealand in the fourth match of the series at Eden Park, where Sooryavanshi was omitted after Ishan Kishan returned from injury.
Sooryavanshi previously impressed with a 45-run performance off 19 balls during the series while filling in for the injured Kishan.
