Charles Leclerc topped the second practice session for the United States Grand Prix, posting a lap 0.042 seconds faster than Mercedes rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli in his upgraded Ferrari. Max Verstappen was third, 0.189 seconds off Leclerc’s time, while Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top four, more than six‑tenths slower.
The session highlighted Ferrari’s new aerodynamic package, including a revised floor and bodywork, which appeared to boost Leclerc’s pace.
George Russell recovered to fifth after a near‑miss with Leclerc early in the run, and Liam Lawson impressed in sixth ahead of the McLaren pair of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The rest of the top ten featured Isack Hadjar, Ollie Bearman, and the usual back‑markers from Cadillac and Williams, with Valtteri Bottas edging Carlos Sainz for 19th and Sergio Perez returning to 21st after missing FP1.
