Tilak Varma breaks world record during India vs New Zealand 2nd T20I

During the second match of the series between India and New Zealand, Indian batsman Tilak Varma set a fresh global benchmark for fielding excellence by securing his twenty-sixth catch of the calendar year in the shortest format. Snaring two dismissals early in the visitor innings, he surpassed the previous calendar-year best held by Danilson Hawoe.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, the Indian side introduced Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Prince Yadav into the lineup, while New Zealand brought in Jacob Duffy.
