Browns Week 2: Scouting Baker Mayfield, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield is preparing to lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Cleveland Browns in their upcoming Week 2 home opener. Cleveland originally selected Mayfield with the top overall selection in the 2018 draft, keeping him for four seasons before trading him away.

While Mayfield has played against his former club once before, this Sunday marks his first meeting with them as Tampa Bay's starting quarterback.

Both franchises enter the contest looking to bounce back after suffering Week 1 defeats, with Tampa Bay falling 33-27 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Browns head coach Todd Monken shared admiration for his ex-quarterback prior to the clash, praising Mayfield as an exceptionally smart competitor.
