Brandon Aiyuk will report to 49ers facility after filing for reinstatement

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has officially submitted his paperwork to seek reinstatement to the league, with his representative Drew Rosenhaus indicating the player will arrive at the franchise headquarters on Friday. Aiyuk has been sidelined since October 20, 2024, when he sustained multiple severe knee injuries during a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs at Levi's Stadium.

Having spent the season designated to the reserve list following missed rehab sessions and team meetings, the athlete's future with the organization remains uncertain. Front office leadership must now determine whether to retain the receiver, attempt to trade him, or grant his release ahead of an upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
