Ben Shelton says Novak Djokovic is the ‘blueprint’ as he aims to improve key area of his game

American tennis player Ben Shelton has identified Novak Djokovic as a model for success while planning to refine specific aspects of his performance. In preparation for the 2027 season, Shelton has secured Juan Carlos Ferrero, who previously coached Carlos Alcaraz, to join his coaching staff alongside his father and longtime mentor, Bryan Shelton.

Ferrero brings extensive experience to the team, having previously guided Alcaraz to six Grand Slam titles and the top ranking in men's tennis. The new partnership was discussed by Shelton during competition at the Rolex Paris Masters.
