Jodie Burrage offered support by WTA after death threats and online abuse

Following her opening match in India, British athlete Jodie Burrage faced severe online harassment and threats delivered to her social media profile. The targeted messages arrived after her three-set defeat against Vaishnavi Adkar at the Chennai Open tournament.

In response to the incident, Women's Tennis Association personnel stationed in Chennai have stepped in to provide assistance to the 27-year-old competitor during her return to professional play.
