
Norway's Elias Dybing secured the junior men's road race victory at the UEC European Championships after executing a decisive solo attack on the final climb of the course. The 18-year-old managed to preserve his gap over the final fifteen kilometres to cross the line first.
Spain's Aitor Martínez claimed the runner-up spot by sprinting ahead of Jop van den Biggelaar from the Netherlands, with both riders finishing five seconds ahead of the main chasing group. The competition required competitors to complete five circuits featuring the demanding ascent towards Možjanca.
Earlier in the event, local rider Gal Stare launched an aggressive solo escape that built an advantage exceeding one minute before the peloton eventually reeled him in.
