Giro dell'Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite: Alessia Vigilia takes surprise breakaway win

Alessia Vigilia pulled off an unexpected triumph at the Giro dell'Emilia Donne after launching an aggressive move from an eight-rider breakaway with 40 kilometers remaining. The Uno-X Mobility competitor successfully maintained her advantage all the way to the finish, crossing the line alone atop San Luca to secure her first triumph since 2023.

Sarah van Dam crossed six seconds later to claim the runner-up spot, while Lauren Dickson finished in third position 14 seconds behind the winner during the 111.3-kilometer single-day competition.
