Sparkassen Münsterland Giro: Olav Kooij comes out on top after chaotic crash marred bunch sprint

Olav Kooij secured his second career victory at the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro following a frantic bunch sprint through the streets of Münster. Jordi Meeus finished second, while Frits Biesterbos completed the podium in third.

The 196.6-kilometre single-day race began in Borken and featured rolling terrain in the Baumberge region before concluding on a city-centre circuit. An early six-man breakaway established a gap before being reeled in ahead of the chaotic final stretch, where late tactical moves by various squads failed to prevent a mass dash to the line.
