INDIA vs BRAZIL TONIGHT! Ancelotti, Vinicius Jr Ready for Historic Kolkata Clash

KOLKATA, October 3, 2026 — India face five-time world champions Brazil tonight at Salt Lake Stadium in a historic senior men's international friendly, with kick-off scheduled for 7:30 PM IST.

Brazil arrived in Kolkata to a huge reception, with Vinicius Jr, Endrick, Bruno Guimaraes and Marquinhos among the headline names.

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged cricket's dominant place in Indian sporting culture while saying Indians still have a strong passion for football.

Ancelotti has also identified India's forward Ryan Williams as a potential threat after watching the Blue Tigers' 1–1 draw against Panama.

For India, the match represents one of the biggest fixtures in the team's history. Brazil, meanwhile, will use the game as part of Ancelotti's preparations with the national team.
