Undrafted rookie cornerback Kani Walker is poised to make his first appearance for the Buffalo Bills during their upcoming Week 4 matchup against the New England Patriots. The organization promoted both Walker and teammate Te’Cory Couch from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game, a decision partly prompted by an ongoing toe injury keeping Christian Benford questionable.
Walker previously caught attention during training camp and preseason exhibitions, which included securing the inaugural interception at Highmark Stadium against the Carolina Panthers. While Maxwell Hairston and Davison Igbinosun remain ahead on the depth chart, the former Arkansas defensive back will act as the primary reserve on the outside to defend against opposing quarterback Drake Maye.
Couch, who previously saw action against the Chargers, provides additional flexibility to cover slot duties or play safety.
