George Russell breaks silence after Kimi Antonelli’s title win: "More bad days than good"

Russell admitted that his campaign quickly derailed following an initial victory in Azerbaijan, noting that the ongoing year has brought him a predominance of difficult moments over positive ones.

Having skipped mandatory post-race media obligations due to being distraught, Russell accepted a fine that his team ultimately covered.

With just four rounds remaining on the 2026 calendar, the British competitor aims to rebound before entering another championship battle alongside Antonelli next season. Both racers are confirmed to remain partners within the Mercedes garage for 2027.
