Week 1 injury report for Chiefs

Ahead of their Monday Night Football regular-season opener against the Denver Broncos, the Kansas City Chiefs released an injury list featuring eight team members. Head coach Andy Reid confirmed that two regular starters, offensive tackle Josh Simmons and defensive back Chamarri Conner, are officially sidelined after sitting out both Thursday and Friday training sessions.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was also named on the list due to a knee concern, though he managed to join Thursday drills without limitations.

Adding to Kansas City's roster worries, defensive tackle Chris Jones suddenly appeared on Friday's update and took part in only a restricted capacity. In all, three potential starters face health issues going into the divisional showdown, with Simmons and Conner already ruled unavailable for game action.
