Stephen Curry delivered a magnificent 44-point performance on Wednesday, carrying the Golden State Warriors to a narrow 119-114 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Playing without Anthony Edwards, who is sidelined for knee surgery, the Timberwolves nearly capitalized on a massive second-half collapse.
After building a commanding 24-point cushion in the third quarter, Golden State saw its advantage dwindle down to just four points before finally securing the win.
Curry went 16 for 16 from the free-throw line and dominated the floor while teammate Yaxel Lendeborg added 26 points despite committing seven turnovers. Jonathan Kuminga scored 20 points against his former franchise, whereas Jaden McDaniels and TJ Shannon each tallied 19 points to pace the shorthanded Minnesota lineup in their first outing without their star guard.
