Kelvin Gastelum has signaled that his professional mixed martial arts tenure is nearing its conclusion. The veteran fighter, who joined the promotion after winning The Ultimate Fighter 17 in 2013, currently holds a 14-11 record with one no-contest across 26 appearances.
He is now preparing for the final bout on his existing contract, acknowledging that securing a victory is essential to potentially negotiating a new deal before he eventually retires from the sport. Despite recent struggles, including a loss to Vicente Luque and a withdrawal from a scheduled match against Yousri Belgaroui, Gastelum maintains that he remains a top-tier competitor.
He intends to fulfill one more contract cycle before stepping away from the cage permanently.
