Bruno Fernandes has rejected reports suggesting he held a private reconciliation meeting with Manchester United manager Michael Carrick, describing such claims as media fabrications. The Portuguese midfielder addressed the speculation following United's 3-2 victory over Roma, where he converted a penalty to help end the club's nine-game winless streak in all competitions.
Fernes was previously benched for the home defeat to Bournemouth after publicly criticizing Carrick's tactical approach following a 4-1 loss at Como. Although he returned to the lineup for the 2-0 defeat at Chelsea, where he missed a clear chance and lost possession 31 times, his performance against Roma included five key passes and an 87 percent pass completion rate.
Carrick's position remains precarious ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture against Aston Villa, with a poor result potentially ending his tenure at Old Trafford.
