[WATCH] Gurnoor Brar and Blair Tickner share fun banter before dismissal in NZ vs IND 1st ODI

During the opening match of the five-match series between India and New Zealand on November 4, 2026, Eden Park in Auckland hosted an entertaining exchange between bowler Gurnoor Brar and last-man batter Blair Tickner. After India won the toss and elected to field, the hosts struggled before being bowled out for 185 runs in 40.2 overs.

Arshdeep Singh spearheaded the Indian bowling attack with four wickets, while Brar claimed three dismissals and Anshul Kamboj secured two.

Late in the innings, a lighthearted moment unfolded during the 41st over when Tickner missed a pull shot off Brar and gestured for a fuller delivery. Brar responded with a daring challenge before delivering another short ball that Tickner top-edged into the hands of wicketkeeper KL Rahul.

Prior to his dismissal, Tickner contributed an aggressive 34 runs from 23 deliveries alongside Jacob Duffy to push New Zealand to a more competitive total.
