Texas offers Tennessee JUCO DT commit Christian Mays

The Texas Longhorns have entered the recruitment race for Northeast Mississippi Community College defensive tackle Christian Mays, extending a scholarship offer on Monday. Mays, a native of Lakewood, Colorado, originally gave his commitment to Tennessee back in June following official visits to the Volunteers and Arkansas.

Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 340 pounds, Mays is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the top junior college defensive tackle and the second-best overall JUCO prospect in his class. Despite his early pledge to Josh Heupel's squad, his recruitment remains wide open, with recent offers arriving from Colorado, Georgia, Auburn, and Mississippi State.
