Superb Zigiotti chip keeps up Man Utd resurgence with Liverpool win

Manchester United secured a narrow one-goal victory over Liverpool to continue their positive momentum under their new manager. Julia Zigiotti capitalized on a defensive miscue early in the fixture, lifting a precise shot past the opposing goalkeeper from long range to provide the decisive moment.

Both sides created scoring opportunities thereafter, with United striking the woodwork through Jess Park while Liverpool's attempts were repeatedly denied by Phallon Tullis-Joyce. The result leaves both clubs level on points heading into the international break.
