Linebacker Micah Parsons will remain sidelined for the Green Bay Packers for a longer duration than initially anticipated. Tom Pelissero reports that the defensive star may not return to game action until November and will sit out practice sessions next week.
Although he has avoided any setbacks in his rehabilitation from the torn ACL sustained during the fifteenth week of the previous season, less than ten months have passed since the injury occurred. The team initially placed him on the physically unable to transfer list, keeping him out for the opening four contests of the campaign.
When Green Bay executed a major trade to land the defender, the front office viewed him as the final component necessary for a championship run. However, the club suffered an opening round playoff exit last year and currently holds a one and two record.
Doubts now linger regarding the squad's postseason potential for the current season, regardless of when their star linebacker ultimately returns to the gridiron.
